As part of the Deal Festival Poetry Day hosted and curated by Jacob Sam-La Rose, poets working at the forefront of contemporary poetry perform their work across the day. Poets include former and current members of Barbican Young Poets brought together by Jacob Sam-La Rose, a British-Guyanese poet and one of the country’s most inspirational writers and educators.

This session will consist of performance poetry by Jacob Sam-La Rose interwoven with arrangements of Bach’s Goldberg Variations for viola and cello, performed by Fiona Winning and Tim Gill, as well as contemporary music, including a movement from my own work Five Phase Sphere.
