Poet Jacob Sam-La Rose and violist Fiona Winning perform an hour of words and music. Performance poetry from Jacob will mix with music by Fiona featuring amongst other works, Three Phase Stanzas.

Commissioned by violist Fiona Winning for a premiere at Berwick Music in October 2022, this work uses recorded viola material to create an electronic pallet of sustained ambient sounds, sporadic pizzicato, long flowing melodies and unpitched sonorities. Over the top of this the viola presents three stanzas of melodies that take the listener through different modes of expression and restfulness. Into this is woven original poetry from Jacob Sam-La Rose.
