I’m thrilled that the fantastic brass quintet Lyrebird Brass will be performing my brass quintet Solder for the second time, at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

This will be the third Australian performance of the quintet (following the premiere by the Golden Gate Brass Quintet at the 2021 Canberra International Music Festival, who were the commissioners of the piece) and comes as a prelude to the release of Lyrebird Brass’ new album Apex Predators, which will also feature Solder .
